Updated 21 September 2026.
Spain’s Los Gallos won the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix on Lake Geneva on Sunday 20 September, beating Tom Slingsby’s Bonds Flying Roos in the four-boat final. Rockwool Racing were third and Explora Journeys Swiss fourth. In the SailGP 2026 results after 11 of 13 events, Australia lead on 94 points, Spain have 78 and Artemis moved up to third on 59.
The win puts Los Gallos in the Grand Final at Abu Dhabi alongside Australia. One seat is left, with Dubai on 21 and 22 November the only regular event before the final on 28 and 29 November.
Geneva podium
| Final | Team | Driver |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Los Gallos (ESP) | Diego Botin |
| 2 | Bonds Flying Roos (AUS) | Tom Slingsby |
| 3 | Rockwool Racing (DEN) | Nicolai Sehested |
| 4 | Explora Journeys Swiss (SUI) | Sébastien Schneiter |
Slingsby won the start and led at gate 2. Approaching gate 3, Diego Botin came in on a collision course and tacked into a lee-bow on the Australians, rounded the last mark ahead and crossed the line 14 seconds clear. Slingsby called it a copy of Valencia, where Australia also lost a final they had led.
It is Spain’s third event win in five. They had missed the final in Valencia two weeks earlier.
Rockwool Racing were the form boat of the weekend, with 3 wins in 5 fleet races. The Swiss made their third event final of the season, in front of a home crowd.

How the weekend went
The 13 teams raced in two groups, with the top two from each group going into the final. Saturday was light and shifty, around 4 to 6 knots, and was cut short when the breeze died after five races produced five different winners.
In Group B, Australia finished on 17 points and the Swiss on 14. The Black Foils missed the final by a single point on 13.
Germany had a bad event. Two penalties at the last mark of a Saturday race cost them 2 points, and Erik Heil’s crew finished 12th of 13, dropping two places to 10th overall.
The US raced with a stand-in driver. Taylor Canfield broke his collarbone in a bike crash and reserve Harry Melges was also unavailable, so Martine Grael drove, with grinder Anna Weis alongside her: the first time two women have raced in the same SailGP crew. The US started Sunday on 0 points in Group A and did not make the final.
SailGP 2026 results: standings after round 11
| Pos | Team | Points | Before Geneva |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bonds Flying Roos (AUS) | 94 | 85 |
| 2 | Los Gallos (ESP) | 78 | 68 |
| 3 | Artemis (SWE) | 59 | 55 |
| 4 | United States | not yet published | 56 |
| 10 | Germany | not yet published | 35 |
That is every position I could confirm from a dated report. The full 13-team table after Geneva had not been published in text by SailGP or Wikipedia at the time of writing, so the other rows are left out rather than worked out. For reference, before Geneva Emirates GBR had 51, NorthStar and DS Automobiles France 41, Rockwool Racing and the Swiss 32, Red Bull Italy 30, the Black Foils 21 and Mubadala Brazil 8.
Artemis finished only seventh at Geneva, and 4 points was still enough to take third overall, because the US scored less. Australia’s lead over Spain dropped from 17 points to 16.

What is left before the finale
- Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, 21 and 22 November. Round 12, the last regular event.
- Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix, 2026 Season Grand Final, 28 and 29 November, off Emirates Palace. Round 13.
The top three on points after the Abu Dhabi fleet racing sail one winner-takes-all race for the championship and $2 million. The team on top of the season table gets $400,000.
Who can still win
Australia and Spain are through to the final race. Either can win the title from there, because the championship goes to whoever wins that one race.
The third seat is open. An event win is worth 10 points, so 20 are left across Dubai and the Abu Dhabi fleet racing. Any team within 20 points of Artemis on 59 can still catch them.
That certainly includes the US, who were on 56 before Geneva, Emirates GBR, who were on 51, and NorthStar and France, who were on 41 before adding whatever they scored in Geneva. The Black Foils and Mubadala Brazil were already out of reach before this weekend. For the teams around the 35 to 40 mark, Germany, Rockwool Racing, the Swiss and Red Bull Italy, the answer depends on Geneva points I have not been able to confirm, so I am not calling them in or out yet.

This page will be updated with the full post-Geneva table once SailGP publishes it.
